Is Linux Part II

Just when I was so happy that my trusty IBM is still working, it would not boot up the next day!

Windows 98 seem to have crashed. I desperately need to get my notebook back to life again. Finally found a friend who has Ubuntu - a package installation for Unix desktop.

After configuring my notebook to boot from the CD, I managed to see a screen to ask me to make selection. I decided to go ahead with the installation.

But it seem to take ages for the installation. Believe me, it really took ages - about 24 hr as a leave the computer on. All I saw was the system is busy reading from the CD and doing something to the hard disk. But, nothing appear on the screen.

Desperate, I began to panic and wonder what have I done wrong. I am not sure whether Linux can be installed on a Pentium III machine with just 128MB of memory...
