Harvard Business ReviewThis article from Harvard Business Review was written on 17 June 2009, about 9 months after the collapse of Lehman Brothers on 15 September 2008.

In management, it is important to have transparency. Greater transparency and freer flow of information can help employees to raise their concerns and suggest solutions .

What most employees do not what is being treated like mushroom - employees being treated like mushrooms: kept in the dark, covered with dung, and – when grown big enough – canned.

Have you been treated like mushroom before?
